They say the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem…

So here goes…

Hi, my name is Kris and I have an addiction to *Stationary*.

What’s in these photos is not even a pimple on the ginormous behind that is my addiction…

I know I have an addiction, I have all the symptoms:

- Every nook and cranny in my house has some form of writing/drawing implements stashed for easy access.

- I can’t walk past the stationary isle in the supermarket, I have to stand there and stare lovingly at every pen/pencil/texta until I decide which will come home with me {this time}

- I almost need to wear a bib in Smiggle to soak up all my drool.

- Stationary gets me more excited than going to any form of party/wedding.

It’s an addiction, I know, I should kick the habit.

But I kinda wanna stick to it, seeing as how it makes me deliriously happy!

Deluged and Breached!!

This is happening at my house right now

lightening

After so many long years of drought I fear we need to do some water proofing around the home. I sat down to my jewellery this evening and all of a sudden it was raining on my face. That definitely should NOT happen indoors.

rain leaking inside

I’m pretty sure rain is meant to be on the OUTSIDE of the glass. We like to do things differently here :)

So I’ve done all I could do… put some towels and buckets down.

There were a few very loud cracks of thunder so I went in to see if Aus was ok in bed (Noah could sleep through anything). He was busy watching the lightening out his window and when asked if he was ok, he yelled ‘Whoa did you see that one Mum!? That was so cool!’ So I left him to his lightening watching.

Then the lights went out. Thank god it was only for about 10 seconds, then they came back on. But I went to check on him again and he said ‘I’m only a little bit scared Mum’. So I assured him that if the lights go out again I will come straight to him. My big brave boy. (who incidentally doesn’t wear nappies to bed anymore! Yay!)

I’m off to snuggle in my big warm bed, guess we’ll assess the damage in the morning!

Well that's embarrassing...

This weekend I think my brain went for a little wander off by itself. Through a complete lack of mental activity, I accrued a list of incidents one after the next-

I managed to skin my knuckle while making another jewellery tree.

I gave myself a blood blister while clipping Noah into his high chair.

I Gave myself an electric shock when I tried to pull a part out of the back of a power point, and touched the little screws holding down the wires. OUCH!

And the 'piece de resistance'.... I tried to let Hubby have a few minutes rest on the couch and decided to do some plastering by myself in the new room:

building oops

Damn, why didn't I take a minute to think which way should be facing out?! ARGH! And I used stud glue so there's no way I'm trying to take it off again. Looks like MANY layers of paint on this baby!

Ever made a huge stuff up like this? You better tell me so I don't feel so bad!! He he
