Another table... oops!

After talking about being addicted to taking photos of my kids, I think I'll share a few I took yesterday with some nice light...

I can't help it, I just NEED to take photos of them. At least I'll have a lot to choose from for their 21st birthdays, along with the obligatory embarrassing ones of course!

Anyway, this is the new table I bought today from a monster garage sale for $10. Yes I have already started sanding it! I just get so excited about what it could look like that I can't wait.



I know it's nothing special from the top, but underneath-



I'm going to paint the whole thing white and use it as our meals table. Then I'm going on a mission to find chairs that don't match to put them together something like this:

I'm not sure if I'll paint them all the same colour or 2 white and 2 red, or something weird. I can't wait to have a table we can all sit at together. We do have one now but it's an odd shape and has a bottom rail that means you can barely fit your legs under when sitting down! Pff! Who's genius idea was that?!
This one will be just right for my little family so I'm very excited to sit around it and find out what everyone did that day, like we did when I was a kid.

Busy busy...

I've been busy... that's my excuse. Sorry blogger! I've been shopping, Photoshopping and generally being busy relaxing. I'm so in love with holidays, sitting on the foreshore of the lake with a good book gives me happy goose bumps!

I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going, last time with Aus I was always thinking 'come on, hurry up', this time all I can think is 'wait, slow down, I'm not ready!'. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks I'll be having an ultrasound, but I always get really nervous before going in. What if they find something wrong? I don't cope with that sort of stuff well so I just have to keep thinking it'll be fine, it'll be fine...

Anyway in other news, we've decided that we are going to do some big renos on our house. I've had enough of things falling apart, thing not working anymore and no heating in our bedrooms in winter. One question I want to ask, does anyone have one of those heat booster things on their combustion heater (a thing that sends the hot air from the heater though the ducts to the rest of the house)? I want to know if they actually work?
I've been feverishly going through magazines and pics on the internet of beautiful kitchens, living rooms and bathrooms. They make me drool. I'm so happy to be finally doing some plans for our home, since I spend all my work time drawing up beautiful homes for others and thinking 'oh I wish I could afford to do that'. I'll be sure to post my plans next week, or sooner if I can get them done!

Also I've done my thankyou cards for the wedding, just over 3 months after the actual day! So shameful! But in my defence my professional photos only got here 2 weeks before Christmas! What do you think?
