Lotsastuff...

Just look what has been coming our way recently..

They are very much appreciated! Especially when it happens for 'Big Brother' (as he calls himself). Noah is a very happy baby, when I go to pick him up in the morning I am greeted by the biggest smiles! It's lovely to have someone so happy to see you!
Aus has been very good too- he's always desperate to help when Noah is crying. He'll go and put his dummy in before I have the chance! He was put to bed at about 8 and 2 hours later came sprinting out to the lounge when Noah was crying and yelled 'put the dummy in Daddy!' lol. I was laughing so much it was hard to put him back to bed.
Aus is so grown up and talks constantly about anything that pops into his head. One of his favorites is 'batteries'. Don't ask me why, I've got no idea. Noah was fussing yesterday and he came over to tell me he was crying because Nanny took his batteries. But he said it's ok because we can get more batteries at the shops (another one of his favorites).
My parents came for dinner last night and my Dad brought part of his train set just so Aus could have a look..

Pa let him drive and he was very good at controlling the speed- not going flat out! What is it with boys and trains? Even big boys like Jem can't resist. He sat there with a little smile on his face while he backed up an engine to attach a carriage. Am I missing something? It's a little train that goes around in circles... not something I'd consider exciting! But the boys/men sat there for hours going round and round, attaching carriages and engines and admiring the craftsmanship.

Anyway, my good friend (actually a bridesmaid at my wedding) had her baby on Wednesday. Lara Ella, 9lb 13oz. Yeah she wasn't small :) But so beautiful and perfect as new babies are. I made a few little bits and pieces to take to hospital:
Headbands (the flowers made using my tutorial)

Burp cloths

And a lovely warm and soft sleeping bag

I've also found time for more jewellery trees- I dropped into a secondhand shop on Friday and collected about 3kg of cutlery!

This one's a work in progress for my Gran. Sorry about the dark photos, as usual it was dark by the time I got photos. This one has a sugar bowl at the bottom and then a goblet on top. Hopefully it will make it steady for her as she is almost blind and will be likely to knock it trying to put bits on.

This is one I've just finished and when I've cleaned it up it'll go in my new Etsy shop! I've opened it specifically to sell the trees. Mainly because every one is different and its much easier this way.

It will come up nicely when I've removed all the tarnish off the vase part.
Don't forget to enter the giveaway! I'll be drawing it this Sunday! You seriously don't wanna miss out on this one!

they are fabulous - I love the wildness of them. Sort of Beardsley drawings with their randomness. Good move with the Etsy Shop, too.
And how lovely to have a smiling baby!!!

Gorgeous smile. i love that little sleeping bag...and yes, I have a train boy at home and he has it set up on a huge board under his bed that he pulls out and keeps it set up - of course dad helped him to make it.

Well had I known Noah was smiling like that I would have called in as I passed through Kerang today. If it helps our cat watches cars go round and round on a track similar to the train track. He is male which possibly explains a lot.....vbg. Wow the jewlerly trees are getting better and better. well done.

I am facinated by your jewellery trees. What a great and useful idea to display beautiful old cutlery. I have favorite old pieces that I inherited with a cabin that I just love to look at. Noah is really sweet - nothing like beautiful baby smiles in the morning.
