Other craft going on...

First off I'm afraid you are going to be subjected to one of my new favorite photos, taken last weekend at the footy... if only they were wearing Cats jumpers!

Onto crafty stuff... I got this HUGE lot of embroidery thread from the op shop the other day for $5 and felt like all my Christmases had come at once. I had to start a new project using some of it straight away... despite all my other projects already going on.

This is what I used it on:

Trying to get a 2 year old put his hand down flat was hard and this is the best I could get. But I still like it- it's just him and that's all I wanted. I'm going to frame it and put it in his room. I got the idea from this photo I saw on Curlypop's flickr.

Onto my next crafty project, pretty Easter egg tree. I've dyed my eggs- would you believe I used blue and pink dye? Why then did they come out all shades of red and green?! Oh well they're still pretty to me. I'm finding some sticks/branches tomorrow to spray paint white for my 'tree'. Then I'll hang them and show you how it turned out.

And something strange you probably don't know about me... my addiction to doing all things crafty goes beyond normal bounds. I deliberately avoid doing certain things because I can't do anything crafty at the same time. Such as sitting down to read a nice book... I actually get audio books so I can listen while doing craft. And I had been avoiding taking a luxurious bath because I couldn't think of anything crafty one can do in the bath. I know... I'm one sandwich short of a picnic.
But this afternoon my pregnancy back pain was starting to grate and I just really needed to sit in some nice warm water. I desperately searched my mind for something I could do while I was luxuriating... Of course! Water... water colour! Lol. I could just wash out my bush in the bath with me. So I got my little paint pallet and water colour paper and set up my bath studio.

Luxuriating = a pretty, happy, colourful butterfly :)

Last but not least tonight I made a freezer paper stencil on a new little suit for baby:

He he, I've seen that saying somewhere and it made me giggle. It turned out so well with no bleeding at all. Can't wait for my little man to be here so I can put it on him.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

You make me laugh girl! Painting in the bath, now that's a novel idea.
I'm loving the embroidery around the handprint. Ingenious! That would be great for my nephews this christmas. I could get them all to do a handprint next to each other to show the various sizes.

That is too funny. And totally the kind of thing that I would do. I manage to do all manner of multi-tasking in the bath.

I totally understand the back pain thing. My pregnancy with Riley was much the same, and spent so much time in the bath that Grant complained that the bub would be have gills when he finally arrived!
